Art porcelain vase
The composition depicts rich, ripe bunches of grapes in rich purple tones. Grapes symbolize the abundance of nature, fertility, life force and the full ripeness of the harvest. In ancient Greek culture, the vine was associated with Dionysus – the god of wine, fertility and joy of life.
The amphora shape of the vase echoes the tradition of the ancient Mediterranean world, where wine was stored and transported in amphorae. The shape and decor together form a reference to ancient culture, the richness of the harvest and the enjoyment of life.
The vase is based on a Kaiser white porcelain vase blank made in Germany. The height of the vase is 32 cm. The work is created using the overglaze painting technique with gilding and professionally fired multiple times.
